
Alpha Chi Omega Membership Standards
Membership in Alpha Chi Omega is determined by mutual choice – that of a young woman and the fraternity. Alpha Chi Omega offers a lifetime of membership, an experience in self-governing living, and encourages its members to develop to their fullest potential as educated women by maintaining high standards for its members. Alpha Chi Omega chooses members by considering the following five criteria:
Academic Interest- Alpha Chi Omega believes in the importance of intellectual development and achievement and urges sound scholarship.
Character- Alpha Chi Omega believes that each member should accept and reflect moral integrity and dignity, social awareness, Fraternity loyalty, and interest.
Financial Responsibility- Alpha Chi Omega believes that each member should be financially responsible by paying their dues and other personal fees in a timely matter.
Leadership Ability- Alpha Chi Omega believes that character, personality, and leadership are developed through participation in campus and chapter activities and urges each collegiate to be interested in the affairs of the community.
Personal Development- Alpha Chi Omega believes in central appreciation and the further development of one’s social graces.
